She worked in a flower shop, making beautiful bouquets. She had a good eye for color and texture and knew every flower by name and its particular scent. She was an artist in her own way.

Tonight a new customer wanted to know what to give a special woman in his life. She asked, “What’s the occasion?”

“No occasion,” he said. “Just because she has the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen.”

She smiled and gathered together lilacs, jasmine, and forget-me-nots with a romantic flair. He said he was sure she was going to love it, and how unique it was. He paid her and walked out.

Only to return a few minutes later, bouquet in hand.

“For you,” he said.
